    New Forum Style

Guys, it might just be me but I find the current forum style hard on the eyes, is the board in phpBB? If so I have a little knowledge in this area and would be more than happy to offer feedback on new styles, new phpBB versions also offer the option individually to choose their own preferred style from the installed themes?

Yes, we are using PHPBB 3.5.

I wouldn't have any problems with that but I "think" it would be very hard to do since I have done so many mods to the site. Which require a lot of changes to the code inside the style. The amount of time it would take to change each style would scare me. Maybe I could just copy the control files from this style to the other style and it would/could work. Hmmm, never thought of doing it that way but it also might not work either. As long as we stayed with Sub Silver II type of styles, that could work. I would be willing to give that a try. Pick out a subsilver2 type of style and I will see what I can do.

And any more input would be great, do you understand what I'm talking about with my concerns with the mods I've done. What else it would require me to do is mod an extra set of files for each style we have but I do agree this look isn't for everybody. No one look is, it would be a very nice option for the member once I got all the bugs worked out of each style.

Absolutely I understand I know what a pain in the ass it is changing code to get things working. I will have a look about, I should have made my problem clearer though the biggest issue for me is the lines. I like a black layout I think it works best but, because it's graded it makes text hard to see, where as a plain or patterned black would be easier.

I'll see if I can find something I like

    Thanks for listening

Which browser are you using Carl?

on Firefox with my setup, it doesn't look bad but as you know, every setup is a bit different. Maybe I could make the pattern a bit darker.

Am using firefox 3.5.6 on my main rig I've tried it in IE8 and Chrome too. Just checked it on my laptop and it looks a lot better then on my main rig/ Might have something to with my 27"HD screen? But I like the look of it on the changes.
