Dana Blown Away By Kimbo-Nelson’s Record Ratings

After Episode No. 1 of "The Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights" set a slew of Spike TV ratings records, Wednesday night's Episode No. 3 set the bars even higher.

According to Spike TV, 6.1 million viewers tuned in to watch the elimination bout between Roy Nelson and Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, and the show drew an average of 5.3 million viewers.

That number makes Wednesday's broadcast the most-watched episode of an original series in the six-year history of the channel, eclipsing the 4.1 million viewers garnered by the first episode of "TUF 10" just two weeks ago.

The series' previous high was the 2.8 million viewers who tuned in for the "TUF 3" premiere in 2006.

And I have fallen for the hype before but I certainly hope Dana is telling the truth about it getting better because it cant get any worse.

I hope they bring back in that fight in round. I kinda understand why the didn't with Kimbo being there. It was a "smart business move" but damn it's been hard on the eyes.

6.1 million, I see that bringing in a lot more fans like me that just really follow the UFC. I know the diehards will say that's a bad thing but even I have learned a little bit about fighters outside the UFC.

Kimbo sells...fatboy won the fight, but the big belly isn't appealing anyone... and honestly, he didn't do any harm to kimbo except for hurting his pride... the punches never arrived!! Fatboy Nelson... dude... stay away from the MacDonalds and/or KFC!! You're a disgrace to all the athletes out there in the MMA world!!

Dude, for real! I was listening to Dana's comments afterward and I couldn't agree more. We ALL knew Kimbo would lose but I'd way rather watch Kimbo lose again than see Roy Nelson fight again. IDK, I wasn't impressed at all!

Kimbo is the ratings "Gravy Train" right now, can't blame Zuffa for going this route... they knew the potential draw that Kimbo would have and the more fans & viewers, the better !
