My few takes on the fights........1/Paul Felder ( I think that's who it was) is TERRIBLE at commentating and interviewing.....almost made me mute my TV. 2/The restart in the Pettis/Poirier fight was brutal. When the fight was halted Pettis had just secured his legs around Poirier's neck into triangle position, on the restart it was set back into full guard....B.S. 3/Northcutt needs to be brought along slowly...he is improving but to throw him into a fight with anyone top 10 would be stupid as hell. 4/PLEASE retire Joe Lauzon...PLEASE 5/I've never been a Clay Guida fan but he won me over last night with his post fight interview

Agreed, classy as hell by Assuncao.......the guy also gets no credit for how good he is too, he should get the Rivera fight for the next shot at TJ.

I hope so...hopefully T.J and D.J meet quickly so it doesn't hold up 135 very long

Yes, that's exactly how it all should go. Marlon Moraes may have called for Rivera, but he just lost to Assuncao, he's behind in the line.

    Thoughts on the fights.

Pettis looks like he's finished as a top level fighter, to me he looks afraid when he's standing, afraid to risk being hit to land a shot.......that's not a good sign. That said, Poirier looked great and keeps on surprising me, I never believed he had what it took to make it to the challenger level, but boy was I wrong.

Matt Browns elbow KO is about the most brutal KO I've ever seen, wow it was a huge elbow right behind the ear. Both guys should retire.......but I would bet neither do.

Arlovski should retire on the win, but he won't........and neither he or Albini have anything to suggest a top 10 win is in their future.

    Ferreira/Marquardt.......umm, OK.

Clay Guida man, the Dude abides! Great win and great post fight speech. Agree with Kick, Lauzon badly needs to retire.

Marlon Moraes with a solid win over Dodson, but no way he jumps the line for the Rivera fight, but he does need a solid top 5 guy next,.......maybe Cody, but more realistic is Lineker, Carfaway, Sterling? Any of those guys would be fine for Dodson too, but maybe Rob Font makes more sense.

I was looking forward to Tatiana Suarez coming back from injury, she looked amazing on TUF, and she looked pretty damned good beating Pereira......now a step up for her, Felice Herrig or Carla Esparza please.

Well Sage took out the soup can, well done. Not much else to say, he didn't look spectacular so I'm still not sold on him, that fight was booked for Sage to win in style, he didn't.

Angela Hill was a let down, that's a fight she should have won with ease but fair play to Ansaroff, that's a good win for her......and actually, Tatiana Suarez vs Ansaroff makes sense next too.

Had an impromptu poker game come up with a few buddies I haven’t seen in a long time so we had the fights on in the background. Poirier keeps surprising the hell out of me. The Brown KO was the talk of the table for a while too. I’ll have to watch the PVR again.

Yup, it was perfect timing on both parts, Diego ducking right at the right time and the momentum of Brown's elbow just sent him crashing, it was brutal. Thought it was illegal at 1st, but took a harder look.
