Certainly seems to be the case. Ronda looks incredibly strong, and is so well versed in her grappling technique. Kaufman, with ten knockouts , was just full-body outgunned.

I think we know Cyborg is probably in the neighborhood as far as strength, and likely exponentially better as a striker, but will it even matter? If Ronda can close the gap without being knocked out, it could be over right there. It will be something to see.

What I hope as far as depth in WMMA is that there are young up and coming fighters out there developing the same way Jones and Gustafson have appeared on the scene, and that with the impetus built by Rousey and the attention she's getting, more women will be drawn to the sport. Women's boxing just debuted in the Olympics, and with Invicta giving women an outlet to gain experience, maybe there are some youthful challengers we haven't heard of yet that will liven up the scene. I know the American woman who took the gold in Judo in London was already responding to questions about MMA. I think she weighed 171 pounds, but Rousey fought at something like 154 in Judo when she was 19...

Yeah, Cyborg was busted for steroids. She was however, caught using stanozolol, which has weak anabolic/androgenic action, but is actually used as a cutting agent. Not defending her, just saying the drug she was caught using is not one usually associated with mass and strength, and she has been known to have problems making weight...

I believe it's likely Cristiane Santos/Justino has always been strong, and will likely continue to be so. Juice has no bearing on her reflexes, all the hard training she's done fighting with men, and the experiential information she can draw on as a fighter. I don't condone juicing, but she will have served her suspension, and similar to all the other MMA fighters who have failed tests and re-entered competition, as long as she passes the tests, she's a legit contender and good to go.

Stanozolol, commonly sold under the name Winstrol (oral), Tenabol and Winstrol Depot (intramuscular), is a synthetic anabolic steroid derived fromdihydrotestosterone. It was developed by Winthrop Laboratories (Sterling Drug) in 1962, and has been approved by the FDA for human use.

Unlike most injectable anabolic steroids, stanozolol is not esterified and is sold as an aqueous suspension, or in oral tablet form. The drug has a high oralbioavailability, due to a C17 α-alkylation which allows the hormone to survive first-pass liver metabolism when ingested. It is because of this that stanozolol is also sold in tablet form.

Stanozolol is usually considered a safer choice for female bodybuilders in that its anabolic effects predominate over its androgenic effects, although virilization and masculinization are still very common even at low doses.^{[citation needed]}

Stanozolol has been used in both animal and human patients for a number of conditions. In humans, it has been demonstrated to be successful in treatinganaemia and hereditary angioedema. An alternative to stanozolol is furazabol. Furazabol's effects are virtually identical to stanozolol except that instead of having an extremely adverse effect on cholesterol values, furazabol actually improves a person's blood lipid profile (at therapeutic doses, not performance enhancing ones).^{[citation needed]} Sold under the trade name Miotolan, Furazabol is a standard treatment in Japan for hyperlipemia.
