Don't call it a comeback...
Great fight, but I think that Cerrone is to easy to hit. One big blow from Pettis could end his night. Hard to pick a guy in this one.
Cowboy is so hard for me to figure out. I still think he's a better fight than Nate but came into that fight simply stupid full of emotion. His team did a horrible job helping him keep his cool

I would take Anthony Pettis over Donald Cerrone by decision if that fight went there

I thought he blew his wad entering the cage that night. Was waaaay too amped up for that fight.

I think this fight is hard to call. Cerrone when he comes in on point is championship worthy but then has fights like with Melvin and nick where he just looks sloppy and off. Then he has fights where he looks great. Pettis is the same although their styles are different but he's another example where he took it to Bendo but looked like shit against Guida. I think Cerrone takes it if he shows up.
I really don't think that he looked like shit against Guida. I thought that he looked good. Guida was just a better wrestler and used his wrestling to avoid fighting Pettis. Guida did not do anything to win that fight other than to hold Pettis's leg for dear life and to hug his chest for as many minutes as he could before the bell would sound off. You can't fault a fighter for losing when he isn't some collegiate style wrestler and he is facing a guy who won't fight him, but has the ability to hold and control his body for 3 rounds.
Would tend to agree, as Pettis is a solid fighter, but I kind of feel like he's gotten a lot of notoriety because of one flashy technique. Was really surprised by the Cerrone/Diaz fight, but it seems like The Cowboy has gotten past that one, and moved on. Cerrone is a fan favorite because he can take it, maybe even takes it a little too often, as well as giving it back with power and determination. If he shows up focused and healthy, I think Cerrone gives Pettis all he can handle.
