    I like eggs.
Even when I'm 100% certain of a fight outcome, I'm only 75% sure... and of that, there's only a 50/50 shot that I'm right.

Too many people prefer the blue pill... me, I prefer the red pill.

The problem confronting the world today is that the world is full of ideologues who are more concerned with promoting their ideology than dealing in the facts.

I'll answer the question in how it is perceived that Roy Nelson is unprofessional. It seems to me that it is down to the fact his appearance is that of a hobo, he has the ridiculous overgrown beard and the mullet that is also terrible, that and his overweight massive belly, which is a clear indicaton in how little he puts in at the gym, now I know this is just his appearance but think of it from the point of view of the UFC, how do they sell a product with that as the face of a possible main event, put simply he comes across as unprofessional. He complains about his lack of sponsors/endorsements also, this is down to the same reason, no company would like to be associated with someone like Roy....whether that is right or wrong is another debate.

That said, Dana and the UFC are clever enough to know that Roy is not completely unmarketable and TUF is the perfect forum for him, hence the reason he is coaching in this season!

Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.

First off Thank you for answering this question, so this thread and discussion can actually go somewhere.

Now, this was the exact answer I was waiting for, because this is literally the only thing Dana ever can really mention and let's be honest it's a complete double standard and hypocritical thing to criticize ROy for.

Look at how many MMA fighters have all types of awful tattoos on them. Roy doesn't have one tattoo at all. Look at how many fighters over the years have had ridiculous haircuts with pink and blue colors or pink shorts?

Look at Kimbo Slice who Dana White gave all types of extra things to on TUF. Every fighter there said that the UFC flew his family in and bent over backwards to spoil Kimbo Slice who has this awful beard just like Roy does. But Kimbo had a huge fan base, so it was alright for Kimbo for some reason.

Chuck LIddell who is arguably the biggest MMA hero of all time had one of the craziest mohawks ever for years before Mohawks were in style like they are now. Chuck looked pretty damn crazy with that cut many would say. However, it was perfectly fine. Chuck also had a gut. Not like Roy's but you get the point.

Even Tanner had one of the most atrocious beards I have ever seen, but was one of the UFC's biggest stars.

Wand has a freaking insane looking tat on the back of his head where he looks like some sort of convict running a cell block. Lol!

Rampage Jackson almost killed people in a car crash, called out the UFC multiple times suggesting that they were fixing fights, has blasted Dana over and over, has violated reporters, and a ton of other things.

Chael Sonnen, I mean do I really need to go on with his long list of credentials??? I could name like 20 other fighters that have been a lot more unprofessional than anything Roy has said or done.

Hell, this entire premise that Roy needs to lose the mullet and shave the beard is the exact opposite of what he needs to do. Since when are fight fans a wine and cheese crowd? Strange beards, funny haircuts, and crazy tattoos have always been the markings of many big time popular fighters in the history of this sport. If you really sit back and think about the appearences of tons of these MMA stars, dozens of them have had all types of crazy looking attires. But for some reason Dana constantly singles out Roy Nelson as this unprofessional guy that needs to do all of these things to clean up his image, but his image is not a bad one. The majority of fight fans love Roy Nelson for being exactly who he is.

I get where you are coming from but the difference with all those guys and Roy is that all of their looks, hairstyles etc are more presentable(not sure thats the correct word) but Roy looks like a fat homeless dude! The one thing we don't know though is what is actually said between Roy and the UFC top brass, and the fact Roy never really speaks out against what is said about him says to me that there is likely more to these unprofessional comments.

Another thing, I'm actually a fan of Roy, simply because I like to see him fight!

I like ROy's look personally. It gives him more character. I've never really heard anyone else whine and complain about Roy's look either. Most people I know or fans I talk MMA with generally like certain characters in this sport, and Roy plays the fat boy character and most people really like that about him. Sure, it would be nice to see him drop weight to make 205, but the guy is a pretty good HW either way. He puts on great fights and never gives up. I love his mountain man look. It fits him, and most people seem to agree. The only guy I ever hear complaining about it is Dana White, and again I don't hear Dana complaining at all about all of these other guys with crazy hair cuts, multiple tattoos, and other physical attributes that look hideous at times.

Roy seems to fight whomever they ask him to fight. The guy won the UF, and it seems like every other UF winner, Dana always treats them really well and gives them extra chances. I just think that Dana doesn't like him personally, and doesn't really know why. He is just irritated by Roy.

Yes, it's clear as hell that Dana does not like Roy. I think he makes a big deal of Roys appearance as a way of getting it through to Roy about his lack of endoersements/sponsors, but again that is just my presumption.

I kind of agree too, sport needs characters and Roy is certainly one of them!
