I think everybody enjoys technique & skill... but who doesn't love when the bigger men knock the fuck out of their opponent, like Hendo / Bisping or Machida / Evans.
Even when I'm 100% certain of a fight outcome, I'm only 75% sure... and of that, there's only a 50/50 shot that I'm right.

Yup love it. I also loved watching Showtime KO Joe Lauzon just as much though.

How do you feel about the HWs Rich? Would you rather watch an average HW fight or WW?

I enjoy the HW division, but that's a hold-over from the days when I enjoyed boxing.

Clearly it's difficult to find enough HW talent to make the division interesting, and I lost interest when fighters like Heath Herring, Brandon Vera, and Brock were added to the division.

To answer your question though... today I enjoy the WW division more so than the HW division, but I don't consider the WW division to be smaller men as we have been debating here recently.

When I speak about smaller men, I'm speaking about the tiny guys at 135 or 125.

It's exciting to watch the little fella blast the shit out out each other... but most of the time the fights go to decision and for most of us that's kinda like good sex without the payoff.

Not really... I never said never.

It was an exciting fight for sure, but I was careful not to make my statement one that was an absolute... I usually try to temper my point with the exclusion of absolutes.

The only absolutes in life are... you have to pay taxes, and we all have to die.

There's no escaping those two absolutes.

I'll answer that for myself, and I'll say WW man. HW's are the most exciting right before it starts, but any experienced MMA fan knows that with two Goliath HW's, it's going to end early. I've always said that the fighter that had me at the edge of my seat the most seconds before a fight was Brock Lesnar. I always knew that every fight would end really quick though.

WW's have so much skill though. The guys in that division can KO each other, can fight hard for 3 to 5 rounds or whatever you want. The problem has been GSP's dominance and GSP fights so safe. If you look at the top contender fights though, they are usually off the charts. I'll take a top WW fight with a match up like Condit vs. Diaz or Diaz vs. Daley or Koscheck vs. Hendricks any day of the week over a top flight HW fight. Mainly because I know that HW fights end early.

But Randy versus Bog Nig, or Big Nog versus CC??? Man, if most HW battles were like that, I'd take HW.

It would make no sense to make any fight for either guy at all.
