The UFC 150 main card is filling up fast this week after it was announced former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Jake Shields would take on “Ultimate Fighter” season three runner-up, Ed Herman on August 11th in Denver, Colorado.
The news was announced via the Las Vegas based promotions official website. Bout agreements have likely been signed and returned at this point in time. This will mark Shields return to 185 pounds after four fights at welterweight.
Shields has struggled to make his mark inside the octagon, going 2-2 in his four fights with wins overMartin Kampmann and Yoshihiro Aikyama and defeats at the hands of Georges St. Pierre andJake Ellenberger .
Herman has been on a tear since returning from a long-standing injury and has put together a three-fight winning streak with victories over Tim Credeur,Kyle Noke and Clifford Starks.
