Sonnen responds to Rampage: “You are not on my level”

Always classy is part-time analyst Chael Sonnen as he responds to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s recent comments. During the airing of UFC Tonight on Fuel Television host Todd Harris asked Sonnen for his response to the insults.

To keep it professional my answer would be simply listen Rampage has one fight left and it’s not against me,” Said Sonnen.
“Now if you asked me in the streets, in my kingdom amongst my people while I’m not wearing the suite and I don’t have the earpiece my answer might of been different. I probably would of said Rampage, why don’t you stick to violating female reporters, making box office disasters, and driving the wrong way down the freeway while you’re jacked up on Mountain Dew, cause you Page are not on my level.

Chael Sonnen has responded to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in a big way.

After Jackson took some verbal jabs at the challenger following his failed title shot against Anderson Silva at UFC 148 earlier this month, Sonnen responded on Tuesday's edition of "UFC Tonight" on FUEL TV.

It wasn't pretty.

"He suck," Jackson told MMAElite.net in a video interview earlier this month. "I think Chael should keep his word and leave the UFC because he said that's what he'd do if he lost. And he lost horribly, bad. Chael suck."

Sonnen, who was a guest analyst on "UFC Tonight" this week, swung back with a haymaker, and he took aim at Jackson's budding movie career and a 2008 arrest for evading police, driving recklessly and other charges after a police chase days after his title loss to Forrest Griffin.

"To keep it professional, my answer would simply be 'Rampage' has one fight left, and it's not against me," Sonnen said. "Now, had you asked me in the streets, in my kingdom amongst me people while I'm not wearing the suit and I don't have the earpiece and I'm in my sponsor's T-shirt, my answer might have been different.

"I'd probably have said, 'Hey Rampage, why don't you stick to making box-office disasters and driving the wrong way on the freeway while you're jacked up on Mountain Dew because you, 'Page, are not on my level.'"

After butting heads with UFC management in recent months, Jackson has vowed his next fight – which comes against Glover Teixeira at UFC 153 – will be his
last in the promotion.

Don't expect Sonnen to throw the going-away party.

You gotta give credit to Sonnen, he'll never win shit (silverware) in the UFC, but yet found a way to drive attention and draw PPV buys. He's very well spoken and intelligent.

Too bad Rampage has a fight signed, That prob would be an interesting fight for Sonnen to make the jump. But I don't know if that's a good matchup for him....

Sonnen is a HW on the trash talking angle while Rampage is a mental midget when it comes to that. This is a mismatch when it comes to words, and boy do I hope that it keeps going. There is endless material that Sonnen could use against Rampage. THis is not the kind of out of the cage fight that Rampage wants to start.
