That's the hardest part that nobody has made really clear. All they say is "effective striking,grappling,aggresion" ect. but that is very general considering how many different things happen in an mma match. what about sub attempts ? and of course a TD compared to a jab or a leg kick? what about the ole "fence pin" or top control doing a little bit of damage but the guy on the bottom is doing sub attempts? One thing for sure judging isn't easy no matter how you look at it.

I agree completely, the judges job could be made a bit easier if definitions for each area was made clear for all to see. Again though it all depends on an individuals interpretation of each bit of the criteria.

I hate when the official stats site of the UFC doesn't even bother to compile and post their interactive fight stat widget for UFC events.

I thought one of the reasons Zuffa went with FightMetric over CompuStrike as the official stats keeper was due to the superior quality of the presentation of the stats calculated.

First off the JC reference-don't like 2nd of all-All other comments could not have been said better!!! Clay was great against Huerta and as much as I loved Huerta's first UFC run...look what he came to be in the end and outta the UFC for that fact. Guida is a freak with his condtioning but he has never doine any damage once he lands the takedown. Guida is not ready for a shot and never will be!

Another thing, for the life of me are people blind when it comes to Clay Guida?? Jesus Christ, this guy is by far one of the worst fighters in MMA. Why do I hear guys constantly call him this exciting fighter? He is fucking horrible in just about every fight he is in. THe only time his fights are exciting is when someone is kicking the shit out of him and "making him fight." Hell, Dana is actually saying that Guida is usually this ultra aggressive guy who gets in your face and all this stuff. Since when !!?? Who has Guida done that to in years?? He is either leg humping someone for a UD, or he just bounces around and throws quick jabs with no power. He is the ultimate point fighter. God, I don't ever want to see this guy fight again. Put him on the under cards. He has fucked up so many fights I've seen him in. That fight he had against Pettis was horrible. This one was even worse.

Okay, and now how many of Condit's shots were leg kicks while going backwards that did absolutely no damage. I would say at least 2/3rds. so now your looking at call it 60 for Condit and 117 for Diaz. And its good to be back when I have time, work has been kicking my ass recently. But to me this fight was just like Condit vs Diaz. Because Condit threw leg kicks going backwards which did no damage, and Guida threw jabs going backwards which also did no damage. That is how I seen this fight personally. Alot of running, and alot of throwing weak shots that did no damage while going backwards.

Edit: For the record, I am EXTREMELY shocked that Maynard landed more shots then Guida, and I am very sure that he didn't. And this is why, I pay absolutely no attention to fight metrics and compustrike and all them. I am more then positive that Guida landed more going backwards jabs in that fight, then Maynard landed shots in the entire fight. I would also be shockeddddddd if Maynards punching percentage was higher then Guidas. (for the record i had maynard winning 2 rounds to 1).
