Regardless of fights won or lost or opponents Fedor battled ,like all of us ,he knew it was time to "Pull the Pin"..When you realise the facts that body ,or the mind isn't recovering as it used to.
I believe his priorities have shifted to establish family as his new #1 priority. Nothing wrong with that...

Most overrated fighter of all time and also the most overrated "class act" in the sport. He was an exciting fighter though. I'll give him that.

In the sense of fighters NOW....yeah he would've been average, but during his reign, he was undoubtably the best.

Agreed, he was completely and totally dominating. To call him overrated...no way whatsoever was he overrated. Now Nick Diaz.......

During his time with pride, I agree 100% but the hw division is the quickest evolving division in mma over the last 6 years or so. He got quickly past up imo.

I agree 100% with this.....All I'm saying is during his big reign in Pride over those 4 years or so, Fedor was without a doubt the best HW on the planet.

Uuuumm yeah, he was overrated as hell. For years while he was fighting cans I listened to these delusional fans call him the best fighter in the world. Not just the best HW in the world, but the best fighter from any division, and that was a crock of shit when he was fighting guys like Hong Man Choi and a few others only once a year. People acted like he was the best even when he knocked out Rogers after getting his ass handed to him in the first round almost losing where he looked awful. Fedor conveniently went after fights that he was highly favored in, and when the UFC's HW division got pretty stacked he wanted no part of that, and still called himself the best in the world while turning his nose up at fans. He wasn't classy either like people try to claim. He was part owner of a company that tried to shake down organizations bankrupting them. His fans continue to try and put that all on other management guys, but Fedor is part of that management. No best guy ever would have ducked so many guys like Fedor did. That is not what top fighters do.
