The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Friday revealed the next international version of its reality series The Ultimate Fighter.

Australia is once again involved, but this time the Aussie fighters will go up against a team of Canadians in The Ultimate Fighter Nations.

“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” said UFC president Dana White in announcing the next international season of TUF. “We’re doing The Ultimate Fighter Canada versus Australia, the coaches will be Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke, and we’re taking welterweights, 170-pounders. Finally got it done.

Been wanting to do this for a long time, long overdue.”
Canadian Patrick Cote and Aussie Kyle Noke are both former cast members of the series. Cote appeared on the show in 2006 during The Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback, while Noke was a member of Chuck Liddell’s team during The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz, the eleventh season of the show.

Tryouts for The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia will begin in September. Both countries will host casting opportunities, the first in Sydney and the second in Toronto. Further details and registration forms will be available as of July 1 at http://www.ufc.com/TUFNations.

The Ultimate Fighter Nations is expected to debut in early 2014. It will air nationally in Canada on Sportsnet and TVA Sports and on FX in Australia. A complete broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

Dana White says TUF 18's Rousey-Tate rivalry is 'pure f--king mayhem everyday'

Fireworks were to be expected when the UFC announced Miesha Tate as last-second replacement coach opposite Ronda Rousey on The Ultimate Fighter 18. But if Dana White is to be believed, those expectations are already being blown out of the water.

"It's like, literally, crazy drama every day," an exasperated White said at Thursday's pre-fight scrum. "It's irritating.
"It's Ken (Shamrock)-Tito (Ortiz) type stuff."

"I don't even know if some of that stuff will make TV," the UFC President continued. "It's bad. Those two do not like each other, and their camps do not like each other, and it is just pure f--king mayhem everyday."
Filming for the season, which is the first to feature a co-ed cast in the series' history, kicked off in late May, and although White was hesitant to discuss particulars, he repeatedly made it clear that this iteration would not be nearly as friendly as TUF 17's surprisingly cordial pairing of Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.

Without frequenting the season's house, White is unable to say if the co-ed living situation is sparking any budding romances between the bantamweight castmates, although he seemed pleased by the UFC's casting decisions thus far.
"[It's] going well," White finished. "There's some men and women there that are serious and want to be in the UFC, and want to fight for a living. They're doing their thing."

The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday night announced the season bonuses for The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2. Luiz Dutra Jr., Santiago Ponzinibbio, and Leonardo Santos earned the $25,000 bonuses.

Submission of the Season went to Luiz Dutra Jr. for his rear naked choke submission of Pedro Irie in the elimination round of the tournament. An injury forced Dutra out of the competition following the win.

Knockout of the Season was awarded to Santiago Ponzinibbio for his knockout of Marcio Santos, also in the elimination round.

Ponzinibbio doubled up on season bonuses by also taking part in the Fight of the Season. Fight of the Season went to Ponzinibbio and Leonardo Santos for their war in the semi-final round. Ponzinibbio suffered a broken hand in the fight and was replaced by Santos in the finals.

Santos went on to win the season by submitting William “Patolino” Macario in the co-main event of UFC on Fuel TV 10.

The bonuses were worth $25,000 each with Ponzinibbio taking home $50,000 in total bonus money.

Mauricio Rua-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira tabbed as TUF Brasil 3 coaches

UFC light heavyweights Mauricio Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira were supposed to be squaring off against one another in a little less than two weeks at UFC 161. Though a back injury took Nogueira out of the affair, giving way for Chael Sonnen to step into the opening, it looks like the two talented Brazilians will still be battling it out at some point in 2013.

According to comments from Rua’s agent, Lucas Pires, to SporTV, “Shogun” will oppose Nogueira as a coach on TUF Brasil 3 before locking horns in the Octagon. The two tussled once before under the PRIDE banner in a memorable match-up going Rua won via decision. No dates were mentioned in terms of taping, airing, or the eventual match-up.
Pires also confirmed Sonnen would serve as Nogueira’s replacement at UFC 161.

Rua holds a career mark of 21-7 with eighteen knockouts notched on his record. Among his most impressive wins are those over Chuck Liddell, Quinton Jackson, and Lyoto Machida.
The 21-5 Nogueira has won eight of his last ten tilts including back-to-back victories over Tito Ortiz/Rashad Evans in his previous two pairings.
