with the intro of a british and canadian team I am hoping this season will be the best to date I know this is not to every once taste i.e the lack of ground offensive but the fast paced team based stand-up makes this a very enjoyable to watch . would love to hear ppl's thougthts on how WCL has impacted on the growth of MMA plus any general WCL interest ppl have there local teams etc

It's fun to watch, it's fast and you can see fights on the official website, which you can't from many other leagues, check it out

ok then here is a brief look at how it works ppl

WCL is the brain child of Chuck Norris this works by each fighter in each team fighting in 2 3 minute fights and the judge's scoring system is designed to reward the constant style of fighting and penalize any attempt to stall or fight passively.
Each fight lasts for three minutes. Three judges score each fight based on knockdowns, extent of damage inflicted, and the volume of clean-scoring strikes landed. Each judge will award five points to the fighter they see as superior, and four or less points to the opponent. The judges points are combined at the end of each fight (15 points maximum, not counting penalties), and are then added to the teams overall total from the previous fights. The team with the most points at the end of the second half wins.

following is the teams to date plus the addition of british and canadian teams for season 3
Oklahoma Destroyers
Los Angeles stars
New Jersey Tigers
New York Clash
Miami Force
ST. Louis Enforcers
Canadian Huskies
British invasion

I'm sure I'm spacing on some of my posts could have sworn, I gave some more details, never mind Crash covered it pretty damn well.

The UK team tryouts are one's we're (me and Crash) waiting to hear about, that and one over here called fightfactor http://www.fightfactor.com/

Both offering good opportunities for other areas of MMA
