“Actually, we’ve been talking about making the Octagon smaller. We’re considering making it smaller. [UFC matchmaker] Joe Silva wants it. I think he wants to turn the thing into a [expletive] bathtub. Have them fight in a little tollbooth.”

In other UFC news Kalib Starnes vows never to fight in the UFC again. I like the smaller cage, but not too much smaller,

Huh, I know it's huge but do we really want it to be Adrenaline small?

Would this take anything away from elusive fighters like Machida?

I am curious as to how much smaller they want to make it. Personally I like it how it is. I watch local MMA productions with small cages and it just doesn't seem right, kind of cheap really. UFC is not cheap, but I hope they don't start changing around that don't need it. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I don't know about this. I think the cage is fine the way it is. I don't think making it smaller is going to make fighters engage more. I have been to many events where the cages are a lot smaller than the UFC's and the same things happen. If a fighter doesn't want to engage he isn't going to or if a fighter is fatigued he is going to back off regardless. I like the size it's sits at now.

Yeah, I agree too... ya don't see too many fights in the UFC where one of the fighters is looking for a marathon, but there have been a few. ;)
